Public space
The public space is the scenery where the everyday processes of social interaction are developed; it accomplishes its function as material support characterized by accessibility. The public space also has an immaterial dimension of social, cultural and political scope; in this sense, it is the place for the relation and identification, demonstration and contact between people, urban life and common expression. For all that, the public space is called to be a key element in the intensity and quality of the social relations, the promotion of diversity in the behaviours and stimulate the relation with the territorial project.
ICT offer new possibilities to favour an accessible, inclusive and dynamic public space. The improvement in the services offered of public transport; devices to bring closer the information and the public and communal services; the deployment of modern and good quality telematic infrastructures, etc. are some action lines.
